This location is one of the hidden treasures of Ashford and please go and look at the gardens amazing and well recommended - Love it!

Godington House is a sizeable country house and garden that is missing a trick or rather a number of tricks. The guided house tour is informative and well worth paying for, however the tea rooms have an overpriced and very limited menu. On a warm sunny day my wife & I took a drive out into the country to Godinton House. It is a wonderfully situated place surrounded by rolling fields. Tranquil doesn't cover it. The house was interesting, admission is by guided tour only, the tour was about an hour and a half, I would say not suitable for children. The garden was very good and was a great place to relax in, I particularly liked the walled garden, and the tree swing was great for the kids .

Friendly people, beautiful gardens, loads of space for kids to run around in, long rope swing for children, vegetable patch and lovely pond features and statues. Great to visit on a sunny day.
