Go back in time and see what Great Yarmouth was like when the "silver darlings" (herrings) were the main source of trade. See The Rows how they were back then, and how the Scottish lassies lived while they were here gutting the fish.

found the museum very interesting and learnt quite a lot
A superb large museum housed in a building directly associated with the bygone herring fishing industry. Excellent all round . A must to visit. very good. informative, interesting and a great experience. It opens yours eyes and gives a great history lesson. It really is a must.

Daugher went on school trip and said it will brilliant.

a really great museum, authentic smell of kippers in the smokehouse, the 'street' with its tiny houses in the rows, particularly interested in the second world war theme and saw an indoor air raidshelter that my mother used.all in all well worth the visit and thoroughly enjoyable and interesting
the museum was great we took the talking radios with us and it was very interesting, the smell of kippers makes it really great to think that people had to work with that smell day in day out.
Very interesting museum, models slightly scary, wouldn't want to be the a member of staff wandering around the museum at night when the models come to life in the "Row"
