Visited here a couple of days ago, first of all the building itself is great the layout is superb with some great views from the top over the quayside however what really spoils the whole building is the utter rubbish that struggles to fill the rooms within it. I like art but there's only so many bits of plywood with...

Visited the Baltic centre, there are seven floors, ground and sixth are cafes..not bad food on the ground floor. That was the good news, first floor was empty for "staff" then a floor dedicated to two local people reading the millennium book droning out years ie 2012 then another said 2013 next 2014. Have we through the Arts council and...

We parked next to the baltic and walked along the quayside taking in the sage, the baltic, the millenium and tyne bridges before calling in one of many of the family friendly bars for something to eat. A very pleasent experience. Some of the artwork was a bit far out for me.
Im not really a arty person but i am proud of the work that has been achieved on the quayside, lots of visitors and the turner prize was awarded here last year
Had a quick look around, not alot to see really there was an exhibition on shepherds huts and not much else to see, gift shop over priced but found some Moomin stuff so bought a moomin although this had nothing to do with the art exhibition. Definatley not good for children they woould be bored stiff. Lift is really fast...

Great views of city and river from the building which is in a fantastic location by the Millennium Bridge. Interesting and fun exhibitions in good galleries (perhaps not one for the more traditional art lover...)
not much to see pretty boring &all done in less than an hour
Beautiful conversion. I can probably live without most of the exhibits, but friendly and welcoming. Great design shop, fantastic views from the top and very impressive cafe
As an avid artist I take a keen interest in and regularyly visit local galleries and exhibitions. I find staff at the Baltic that are there to offer information incredibly unhelpful or unknowledgeable on the displays and they can often be seen sitting around on their mobile phones ignoring customers
