This historic site houses two museums, Fermanagh County Museum and The Inniskillings Museum and Fermanagh Visitor Information Centre. - AndyCountyDurham65 contributionsTremendous value and very interestingWe spent a good couple of hours in the castle and museums, for the princely sum of £4 per head. The way the histories are presented is really interesting and not at all "dusty". We could easily go back next time we are in the area and not run out of interesting features. A real bonus is the staff - Enniskillen seems to specialise in really friendly folks, but this was exemplified in the castle. The chap who was maintaining the spotless cleanliness was also happy to exchange greetings and news. A must if you are in the area.Visited July 2023Written 22 July 2023

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The castle is very well maintained, the history brilliantly and vividly told with a comprehensively descriptive introductory DVD at the beginning of the tour. The layout and context of the castle and its history is superbly explained.

Tried to book onto some events only to discover that the online booking system doesn’t work.
Incredible that a prestigious public body can’t organise an online booking system. Such incompetence from public servants is hard to fathom.
As a result I didn’t book & went elsewhere.

Exceptional. A wonderful experience. It was interesting to see the history and so glad I was able to visit places my grandfather did as a boy growing up

Enniskillen castle sits in a small town in Northern Ireland. It has a formidable stone structure which rises from the surrounding landscape to demonstrate it’s invincibility

Will the Pilgrim Pass be available in May 2020? Loved the good reviews from 2019 and planning to visit Enniskillen Castle on 25May2020.

Did you have to reserve the pilgrim pass in advance?
EnniskillenCastle
Enniskillen, UK
The Pilgrim Pass operated as a new joint ticket to Enniskillen Castle & Devenish Island during August and September this year. It could be booked online in advance or when coming in to Enniskillen Castle for a same-day trip. It was a pilot project to assess demand. Having had very positive feedback, we hope to run something similar next year.
