there aren't many things you can do with gneiss kids that are free these days, but this you can. a wonderful little museum with lots of information about Victorian Britain and a wonderful new fossil exhibit. 2 hours very well spent

Lovely place to go, as often as you like. Free access, lots to see, brilliant costume history section, tiny but beautiful garden; a great asset to Christchurch.

Was a really surprising museum. Lots of fascinating artefacts on the ground floor and archaelogical finds upstairs. Outside there is a lovely garden. There were also 2 temporary exhibitions one of embroidery and another about a Roman Emperor. Was there so long I had to go and move the car - there's one hour free parking on the street outside.... A lovely little museum, with a pretty garden to have a stroll in, plus it`s free to get it which is very rare now days.

Nice old children's toy display. Loved the fossils upstairs. Pleasant garden. Nice for an hour visit or so.

we went to see the special roman exhibit - it was very carefully and cleverly thought out. we stayed to see the rest of this well loved and well thought out museum, it used to be a workhouse and was full of interesting exhbits with clean glass and no dust to peer through
