I've been to Lundy twice so far and will be returning for Christmas this year. No traffic, no "do not enter" signs just 3 x 1.5 miles of countryside to wander.

Beautiful Islands helpful volunteers. Will holiday on next time 6 hours not long enough!
Everything about Lundy is fantastic. Stayed in Little St John's, a converted stone barn. Cold at night until you understand how the heating works but the views and the equipment levels and wildlife and the staff and the food and the shop and the views (did i mention those already?) all were awe inspiring.

We sailed over to lundy on the MS Oldenburg from bideford. had a lovely calm sailing and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Its abit of a climb to the top of the island but oh so worth it. We took off exploring the whole of the island, walked the whole length of it and saw plenty of wildlife too. There is...

I love Marmite,so have no difficulties with back to nature and no frills facilities. I have always wanted to 'be stranded' somewhere,so when the helicopters couldnt get to us yesterday the bonus of an extra day was irresistible. Everywhere on Lundy there is a view, even though the island is small there are plenty of opportunities for walking with only the...

We took a very long sea day trip from Clevedon Pier, all in all 14 hours with only 2 hours on the Island but it was unforgettable. A cloudy, dark start via Penarth and Ilfracombe but bright sunshine and clear skies on arrival. Worth the long hike up the hill to the Marisco inn for some unique scenery and complete...

I visited the Island for a day trip from Ilfracombe with my partner. Amazing island. I plan on returning early next year to see puffins. Views are amazing and I would recommend this trip to anyone. So much wildlife and the people on the island as so friendly.
We are walkers 50 and 60 yr old.
Getting there and back is very much part of the adventure, the ferry was cancelled so we went by helicopter. It may only be 6 mins in the air but brilliant. the accommodation ( we were in Old Light Lower) was as excellent and typical of Landmark Trust's premises.
The West coast...

We travelled to Lundy from Penarth on MV Balmoral on a trip via Ilfracombe. This only gives you 2 hours on Lundy and it takes half hour each way to get from the ship to the top of the island and the paths around it. Only 1 hour, this is not enough time to explore. The climb is hard and...

Loved peaceful break in Lundy. Choppy crossing but great weather for the week. Thanks Landmark Trust for attention to detail.
