I visited last year with my In Laws who were visiting and thought it would be nice to take them to a local place. It was a nice sunny day so spent some time just sat around enjoying the sunshine. It is very beautiful and well kept. I can't quite remember how much it actually cost but I remember thinking... More

Bennetts specialises in water lillies so that is what you get in abundance and effectively displayed in a series of well-laid-out landscaped ponds. Peak flowering is early summer so you need to pick your season carefully and these gardens are rather a one-trick pony. Having said that, if you are near Weymouth at the right time, well worth a visit... More

We thought that we would see beautiful ponds and lots of autumn colours but the Gardens were in need of a little TLC so we were disapointed.

This place is lovely, but the kids were bored out there heads! You have a map in which you walk around looking at ponds with flowers, some people will find this very boring , but for some its okay. There i a tearoom with very nice food and drinks. But the whole place is quite expensive, considering we had looked... More

I visited this garden because I love waterlilies, and have spent many happy hours at Giverny. The lilies themselves were of course beautiful - many different varieties, wide open in the August sunshine. However, the gardens had a rather neglected feel and the plant centre was terribly disappointing. There were only one or two lily plants on sale, and those... More

This garden is one of the most beautiful I have seen, with 8 acres of multiple lakes planted with water lilies, gazebo ,a Monet type bridge with multiple viewing points and seats to take in the vista. Some of the paths which are grassed are a little uneven although they do have disabled access to some of the routes .I was left feeling... The water lilies were beautiful, occupying some ten ponds of different sizes in what had once been a clay pit, but we felt the ponds were disappointingly overgrown with oxygenating plants, and there were still fallen leaves from the winter which hadn't yet been removed. Many of the lilies were labelled, though not all, but none of the other plants... More
