fantastic site, shame about cars being parked all round the "green" (which is owned by the University) impossible to get a photo without vehicles included. Why this is allowed I can't figure out, this is a world heritage site being spoiled by modern attitudes. Would have scored a higher rating if it wasn't for this. more

Durham Cathedral is an amazing place to visit, It combines history, religion and splendour throughout the building. The staff are knowledgeable, helpful and nice. I visited the shrines, alters, monks dormitories, the library, gift shop, quadrangle and many more places of interest.
