This museum/experience is definitely one-of-a-kind! I never knew something like this quite existed. We took a taxi out from Belfast city centre and arrived in about 20 minutes. Perhaps it was our own bad planning, I just didn't realize how MASSIVE this place was and how much time you need to fully do it. The Folk museum is separated from... More

If you're stuck for something to do during the week September-March then go to the folk and transport museum because you'll have the place to yourselves. Lots of history, open fires and free-roaming chickens and cats, what's not to love? During the summer the place is insanely busy with BBQs and special events but a visit to the ulster folk... More

The Ulster Folk and Transport Museum is excellent. There is a courtesy bus between the two museums. The staff are excellent able to tell you stories of years gone by. The houses are beautifully restored to the period. You have the town and the country areas, we got to the country area via a charabang (old bus vehicle). Great for... More

We visited the two museums prior to flying out of Belfast City Airport. The reception desk kindly cared for our suitcase while we spent a number of hours looking at the trains, buses, cars and Titanic exhibit. There is something for everyone, we had been unable to get into the Titanic Museum as it was fully booked - the exhibit... More

This is a brillant exhibition. I really enjoyed it and am not a Titanic fan.... I am definitely more of a Titanic fan now having seen this exhibition than before!!! They have a lot original Titanic and White Star Line artefacts including Titanic artefacts from the seabed. But that is not all. The exhibition is in the Transport museum part... More

We go about three times a year and never tire of it. Look at their website for a flavour. BUT DO NOT GO TO THEIR CHRISTMAS EVENTS THEY ARE A BIT OF A RACKET - TOO FEW STAFF MEANS PEOPLE ARE JUST WANDERING AROUND AIMLESSLY. Despite this would recommend. If Christmas improved would make it excellent.

This is a brilliant day out for all the family and is great value for money as it takes a full day to do it all. The Titanic exhibition is a must

Easy to get to and well worth the effort! We went as a family and our 7 year old was entranced by the whole experience, as were we. The staff are all in period costume and are welcoming and knowledgable. We particularly enjoyed the "shows" where they did enactments from the Titanic period, they were well done and made it... More
