Taking the mountain railway from Laxey to Snaefell was one of the highlights of our holiday on the Isle of Man, lovely scenic journey in a wonderful authentic rail carriage. There is a fabulous restaurant and cafe on the top, food was superb and the staff were very efficient and the whole place was spotlessly clean. Views from top were...

Great views, good food.go and see it for yourself.go on the railway up the mountain.
This is the second time I have travelled up to the top of Snaefell from Laxey. Great views on a clear day and the restaurant facilities at the top have recently been modernised. Good views over the Laxey Wheel and a pause for photographs on the way to the top!

The trains are slow and rickety. However, the views from the top are superb and the food in the cafe is pretty good as well.

they say you can see 7 kingdoms from the top of the highest place in the Isle of Man. Just scrapes in to be a mountain at 2034 feet. Views of Ireland, Scotland, Lake district, Anglesey, Wales, Isle of Man, & Heaven above ! Go up on the electric mountain tram railway from Laxey. Cafe at the summit.
You can take the electric tram either from laxey or from the Bungalow halt to the summit of the Islands only mountain on the Victorian electric tram. There is a cafe at the top and on a good day the views are just wonderful
My first visit was in 1947 with my parents to see the Annual TT Motorcycle Races.
In 2012 I will have been "coming over" for 65 years...The Island is a beautiful rock 33 x 17 miles and in June the population more than doubles as fans from all over the world make the pilgrimage to ride, participate and spectate during...
