interesting view on Tenby history and has some bones of elephant and rhinoceros found in local caves. A great place for kids with children's activities available.

Visiting Tenby turned out to be a delight.
Within 5 minutes we found a plaque indicating where artist Augustus John had been born. As one of my favourite 20th century artists this was very important to me and I decided to go immediately to The Tenby Museum and Art Gallery to see if there was any reference to him there....

We've visited Tenby many times but have failed to visit the museum. Well set out with local exxhibits and information on the history of Tenby.A good way to spend a couple of hours.
Tells the story of the local area through artefacts and art. Several notable artists represented including Augustus John, Gwen John and John Piper.
well worth a visit, it wont break the bank ,and i found it very interesting. it is easy to find, and the views are excellent.
Lots for the children to do, the staff were very helpful and my 4 year old really enjoyed the dinosaur hunt. Some very interesting displays for a small local museum, it was a good way to occupy a couple of hours on a rainy day. I did nearly get blown over getting up there though!
Well presented, clean, modern museum and art gallery. On a personal note I would prefer that the balance was more in favour of Museum than Art Gallery. The Video was very good, not overdone and well produced.
I think this little museum is great for the family and a must when visiting Tenby, especially when the weather is bad. The art gallery is interesting as it has works by the late Augustus and Gwen John local artists.
Very interesting museum with most helpful staff.of most interest are the items about the artist Augusta and Qwen John.
The museum is small and well run and worth a visit to find out more about the history of the town. The black and white film showing how the town had changed over the years was particularly interesting.
