i was bred and born in birkenhead and when i come back for a visit i always visit the park ,it was the place we always went to ,and had are picnics in the days when we didnt have computors or tv ,but it was a place where you could relax and leave the children to play on the hills... more

In the summer months my family and i enjoy many picnics in Birkenhead park, it is a beautiful place to visit with many beautiful surrounding building. more

Although Birkenhead Park is not in Liverpool anybody visiting for a few days should consider a visit to wonderful Wirral.When i visited the area i was amazed to find out that this was the first public park in the world and also the inspiration fot Central Park, New York.It is great to walk around and the people were so nice.... more

Birkenhead Park is not in Liverpool, but on the Wirral Penninsula. People born and bred in Birkenhead, as I was, get very upset to be classed as part of Liverpool, even though it is a great city. Birkenhead Park is wonderful for, say, a 1 or 2 hour wander. Visit at the weekend, particularly in Summer and watch a wonderful... more
