This is a very pretty place for a very long or short stroll with lots of wild life on the lake and boats.

If you are local to the North West Coast and facy something different, than how about a picnic on Southport Pier in the Summer. Its like a mini Blackpool
Lovely spot on a nice day to have a stroll, watch the birds, swans, ducks. Or sit in a quiet spot on a sunny dayand have a read. You could also hire a boat, or just chill out.
A beautiful seaside town with something for everyone Lord street is a stroll back into Victorian times with a diverse range of shops and eateries side streets run of it with more attractions, there are arcades with Victorian architecture,a short distance away from the shops is the pier,. boating lake and fair it is obvious a great deal has been spent...

This is a great body of water between the main town of Southport and the sea. you can have rides on the hovercraft for a price and is really nice to look around or just to sit next to, to rest after a long days shopping or walking along the beach.
Not a lot going on,if you are in Southport o.k. for a sit down, great if you have a model boat, loads of room to play with it.
Plenty of entertainment, eating places & shops. Walk on the beach, along the pier or around town.
