We visit alot of gardens on our travels. Being the only one in our group that had not seen the TV program did not know what to expect. Finding it was easy, as well signposted. Parking not a problem as seems to be a large car park. warmly welcomed and then started to explore. A good map made it easy... More

This place very local to us but never been before. Went with my husband as he's a horticulturalist. From his point of view the wide variety of rhodedendrons & azaleas were well worth a visit & this is the right time of year to see them. My kids are all grown up now but this is a lovely place to... Just visited for the first time, saw the Country House Rescue episode last year, knew it was bluebell time, thought the kids could do with a spot of Yeti hunting, husband could tackle a go at the den building and I was after the views. We were honestly delighted with all of it, so much so we bought the season... More

Lots of lovely plants/garden arrangments/trees. Very much for the garden lovers to enjoy. Older kids loved attractions/games but Moms had a problem with all the uphill places. Tea rooms very homely & friendly but when we were there it was packed! There were lots of tired/bored toddlers & harrassed Moms. Perhaps there could be more for little ones to do?... More

Fantastic way to spend my birthday afternoon. Gardens are looking lovely, and improving year by year with all the restoration works and new attractions. Great place for adults and kids and a visit to the coffee shop is a must. Home-made cakes and some of the best coffee I've tasted

Now on our third season ticket, we love to share in the changes at Riverhill. My 7 and 5 year old love the freedom and simple den building fun, and a fab cream tea for Mum! A great day out again and again!

The variety of areas for adults and children to explore are what make these gardens a hit. From the beautifully manicured rose garden to the big field to climb and run around with amazing views, and currently the blubells in the woods and primrose garden which is at its best. Then there's the hidden surprises- a lovely boat swing tucked... More

We love Riverhill Himalayan Gardens and so do our children! The children spent all day playing in the grounds inventing games in the woodlands, playing dens, looking for yetis and playing on the lovely wooden playground equipment. The adults enjoyed the sight of all the spring flowers and the spectacular views down the hill and don't forget the best cakes... More

I had seen Riverhill on the Country House Rescue programme and was excited about visiting when the new season began. I think this is a brilliant place to visit if you have children, but as we don't have children we felt a bit let down. It's quite expensive to get in for what you get (£6.50 per adult) plus the... We visited following its TV appearance and we (2 adults 2 kids) had a great time exploring, building dens and chasing the yeti. We will return to see how they continue to develop the site and to try the maze again once the hedges have grown a bit more.
