Caerleon is a hidden gem of Roman remains. There is an ampitheatre, a Roman barracks and above all, the baths. Really a great all round view of life in Roman Britain. Entertaining for the kids and innovative. Don't miss it.

10/10 to the Welsh tourism board, Newport Council and all the volunteers to make this bit of history live and accessible. Excellent museum, kids (9 yr old twins) loved it. Really interesting and the kids can get involved. We had a good time at the fort and excellent cakes, etc. at the bakery in Caerleon.
