From startup finish this trip was flawless. We departed Ventry harbour and an hour later dropped on the Great Blasket Island, the day was beautiful the sea calm, and thanks to the careful attention of Mick and Billy we saw so many dolphins, minke whales & a huge array of bird life, whenever there was even the slightest sighting the... We saw basking sharks, common dolphins, risso dolphins, puffins!, seals, it was great. Our mother of 88 was with us and the crew was so very friendly and helpful for her. We wont forget this day for the rest of our lives.

We had a lovely bright day and took the boat tour to the Blasket Island. We were too tired from other things, so we didn't go on the island itself, and I wish we had made an entire day of it. DO THAT - pack a lunch and drinks and roam around. But we toured on the boat and it... More

If the boats are going, you should go, too! There is no finer way to experience the beauty and history of the Dingle Peninsula than taking the Eco Tour to the Blaskets with Paul as your guide. You'll not only see the breathtaking views of the headlands from the water, but hear the fascinating history of the area. If you're... More

I suppose my husband and I were lucky enough to get great weather for our afternoon trip- blue skies and brilliant sunshine! Despite this, be prepared to bundle up (which they did warn us at the office the day before when we made reservations) as it's chilly on the open water. Very, very friendly staff- and everyone seems legitimately interested... More

One of THE most wild and beautiful parts of the emerald isle to visit has got to be the Blasket islands, off the most south-westerly point of the Dingle peninsula. The amazing journey begins with the decent down to the ferry boat from the tiny pier near Dun Chaoin and from there, the two and half miles or so across... More

We took the eco tour boat trip from Dun Chaoin on Saturday and had one of those memorable days that will last a life time. There were six adults and seven children under nine in our party so it wasn't easy to move us around but the staff could not have been more kind. Mick and Jan's Eco tour was... More

My husband and I took a trip on the Blasket Princess at the end of august in the hope of seeing dolphins, whales, basking sharks etc as advertised on the brochure. Also I was looking forward to seeing the scenery around the Blasket islands. The trip usually goes twice a day at 12 and 3pm lasting approx 2.5 hrs. On... More

This review was compiled in 2009 when we first started our eco marine tours from Dunquin, Co. Kerry and from Cuan pier, Co. Kerry when weather and / or sea conditions were unsuitable from Dunquin. Since then we have learned a lot from feedback from our customers which we always welcome and take seriously. Blasket Islands Eco Marine Tours now... More

I’ve been going on marine nature trips for more than 30 years, with many different operators. In July of ’09 I went on two separate trips with Blasket Islands Eco Marine Adventure Tours, and I would rank them among the top. When you’re going out to look for marine wildlife, you can’t expect guaranteed sightings. But the captain, Mick Sheeran,... More

We had a great tour. The tour was almost 3 hours and the Skipper tried to show us as many animals as possible. We have seen two whales, a giant shark directly at the boat, a lot of puffins around us, several seals and plenty of gannets. It is absolutely worth going. We did the trip in July 2009 and... More
