We took the Unknown Side of Palermo tour as a privately arranged cruise ship excursion and it was one of my favorite tours during our 45 day cruise. I was able to set everything up via email before our cruise. They were waiting with a sign when we got off the ship. Our guide, Jackie, actually spent much of her... More

We arranged a Mt. Etna wine tour with Sicily Travelnet Private Tours. Gaetano was our driver and he was so friendly, professional, and showed us a great time! He took us to three wineries located within the Mt. Etna region. He arranged for us to try between 3-9 tastings (depending on how big the winery is and what they have)... More

Michele Gallo of Sicily Travelnet took me on a very interesting and informative tour to Palma Montechiaro, the setting for the mythical Donnafugata in Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa's The Leopard. Palma di Montechiaro was founded in the mid 17 century by two ancestors of Lampedusa: Carlo and Giulio. We visited a monastery and church described in the book. A nun... More

In October, 2011 we made arrangements with Michele Gallo of Sicily Travel for a private tour guide and vehicle to take the 6 of us from Palermo to Sciacca, birthplace of our grandfather. Our tour guide, Valentina, was excellent. After a beautiful drive to Sciacca, she took us to the town hall where after some delving into huge ledger books,... More

We were in sicily for one day, a stop during our cruise. I arranged for a private driver for us to visit Mt. Etna and Taormina. Paul, or driver, was great! He was polite, funny and his English was terrific. He kept us entertained & informed as we drove through the countryside. More

I came upon Sicily Travelnet while searching for private drivers and guides for our recent Mediterranean cruise. Messina, Sicily was our first top for the 2 week cruise and it kicked things off wonderfully. Michele arranged for a driver and guide to take us to Taormina and Castelmola. Our guide, Iole Amato, was wonderful. She was friendly, informative and got... More

There were four of us on this tour. Professor Gallo was professional and cordial. We all enjoyed the comprehensive background of Agrigento and The Valley of the Temples. His descriptions had me imagining myself living in that time period. It was very sunny day so we had hats and umbrellas to shade us from the sun. We also had comfortable... More

We had arranged for a guided tour of the Valle die Templi with Michele Gallo based on trip advisor and other Internet reviews. Michele met us in our hotel lobby and proceeded to give us a very detailed and informative 2 hour tour of the site. We learned quite a bit about the building of the temples as well as... More
