a must to be seen at night when all lit up. just fascinating.
spectacular history, very well preserved. We have been to Athens and the Accropolis and this is not far off being as good. The whole site is magnifficent and well worth the visit.
This is a well presserved temple. It survived because it was convereted to a church.
Pity modern day greece cannot build such wonderful places
This is just beautiful and amazingly well-preserved. Even when there are lots of people it is possible to take fantastic photos.
Note that the tour guides all stop right in front but not for very long so you can take piccies in between different groups, but they (along with a lot of others) never seem to go behind the temple...

Fabulous site with very good audio guide available in English (only problem was too many people to take good photos!) Early or late is probably best.
Amazing, very good condition. easy access to all people.
The whole site was very evocative, and our excellent local guide really helped our group understand the context of these temples. Having been to Paestum, I was not sure that it was better than those, but if I'm told it was archaeolgically more complete, then who am I to argue.
Looks even more impressive when lit up in the evening.
Unbelievable. Grand. Beautiful. Evocative of a time gone by. Not to be missed.
