This museum is not too bad,but does not contain anything very special to see.It has a lot of general artifacts but nothing that causes the "Wow factor",worth a visit though.

Lots of ancient pottery and artifacts. Tough to do it after visting the temples because you will be hot and dusty and tired, but worth even a brief visit. Very well done

This little museum is packed with exhibits. Items have an english description next to them. Stunning stone statue in the centre of the museum and artifacts from the Valley of the Temples. Well worth a visit.

A well planned and laid out museum, pity that Palermo has taken so much especially as the main museum in Palermo will be closed for ages for major restoration

My wife is not a fan of archeological museums nor Accoustiguides, but this place was an exception. The exhibits are well marked and the recorded tour points out the main features of objects that would not have been apparent to us on our own. Be sure and check the opening times if you are doing the Valley of the Temples... More

Again, a really good guide makes all the difference. My heart sank at rooms full of greek vases and shards of pottery, but I left with a far better understanding than I went in, and you can't say fairer than that.

Terrific collection of Greek ceramics. The exhibits were very well arranged. Plan on spending at least two hours. There is a very pleasant looking cafe at the entrance.

Too bad so much of the finds were taken by the British (see all the items found in Agrigente at the British Museum) and the Germans.

We went to the museum on a rainy day (only one during our 2-week stay on Sicily) and I have to admit that it was really interesting. There is an abundance of exhibits and long, well-prepared descriptions in English. If you're interested in archeology, you can spend hours in the museum.
