the 5 th time we went to canazei/sella ronda very nice for skiing, even late in saison
The ski area is the largest in the world with 1200km so there is plenty for everyone in a mixed group and the skibuses are efficient and make it easy to get around.
Amazingly, every single piste is bashed every night making the runs pristine in the morning. If you can get the first lifts at 08:30am you get an...

lot of excellent slopes, superior services on the slope
We skied all over the Val Gardena area, visiting 8 resorts without taking off our skis.
There was no snow and slopes were not prepare well. It was to difficult for some people even on blue ways
Based in Milina (next to Cavalese) and having a car (skibus also very efficient) we were able in 5 days to sky at some of the best ski resort of the Dolomites: Oclini (best place to learn or for 1st day to warm up), Cermis (the place we ended up going on the 2nd and 5th day as slopes and...

A group of eleven family and friends visited this area in half term, age range from 23 years to 73 years, we all had a brilliant time. Cheaper prices than France, piste immaculately groomed and plenty of runs for all abilities. Would highly reccommend Mountainsun Ltd who have two excellent Hotel/Chalets in this area.
We visited Dolomites for the week starting 14th January and stayed in Campitello Val Di Fassa in Hotel Diamant 4* (there is dedicated review here). Every morning we used Col Rodena lift. That was the low season. The adult ski pass costs 185EUR for 6 days for all areas. It is possible to buy ski pass for limited area but...

The directions on the slopes not very good and it was difficult to follow the skimap if it is your first visit. Biggest problem is that the skimap does not show the number/name of the runs, only the number of the diffirent ski lifts.
We have skiied the dolamites for several years and have found it wonderful. The sxtent of the ski fields is mind blowing with many ski fields joined either by lifts but also more by busses or underground railway. One could ski 50kms a day for a week and hardly ski the same slopes. Thelift systems are fantastic; our longist ever...
