I had not heard about this place until about 2 weeks before my trip to Italy. It immediately sent me scurrying around the net for information. After reading about it we made sure that we could fit the visit in. The palace is absolutely vast and is said to be the largest palace in the world in terms of ground... More

Although Caserta itself isn't a 'Tourist hotspot', the Royal Palace is definitely worth a visit. A visit will take you at least one whole day to do the Palace and the Park. There are 1,200 rooms in the palace although they are not all open to the public. The palace is a bit run down but you can clearly see... More

I have been to the Palace once before, but it was in the evening. I was so happy to return once again with my three teenagers & other Italian family members during the day. WOW!! This is a MUST SEE! Absolutely beautiful!! The gardens are outstanding.

An extraordinary building; larger than Versailles and Shonbrun but, in many ways more intimate. The Kingdom of Naples in he eighteenth century was more developed than the rest of Italy, both in terms of industry and in terms of its legal code. The palace is evidence of a great Neopolitan civilisation. It time we opened our eyes wider than Tuscany... More

This was the filming location for Nabboo in the prequels, and for good reason. This palace was built to rival Versailles and it succeeds. The english gardens and reflection pools make for a wonderful day in the park. The museum is nice and a great example of the opulence of the bourbons, but I prefer the gardens.

For a leisurely walk around the gardens or exploring all the rooms around the Palace this place is amazing and must see. You can spend the majority of the day here if you take your time. It is a 3 kilometer walk to the falls... they do have a bus if you are not up for the challenge. Explore the... More

Although today Italian culture and monuments are a little bit neglected (in general), the Royal Palace remains a must-see highlight both with its wonderful garden. The City of Caserta, even if quite modest and not monumental, has got an intersting boulevard and streets good for walking and shopping.

Stay away from the cafe, but well worth a visit to see the amazing old palace and especially the gardens and grounds.

The palace itself was great to see on the inside... a lot of great architecture and cieling paintings... very big.... the main reason I came to this place was for the fountains... there is a stretch or cement ponds and fountains perpendicular to the palace that stretches for about 4 km .... amazing statues and a beautiful walk... although, the...
