The walk is not that difficult and the views from the very top are worth it. We were there when it is not a hot season yet (end of May) but if you venture in summer take a lot of water with you (we took 2l for 2). There is no water or food or any facilities in the park,... More

A must if you want to walk off the calories from the great restaurants in town! And the view is worth the effort.

The only way not to gain weight when you travel to Italy(so much delicious food)is to make sure you get plenty of walking in. The walk up to the top of La Kappa is only slightly strenuous but enjoyable. Besides the ruins you visit on the way up, you are rewarded with a beautiful view of Cefalu and the sea... More

The tour guide book said it would take an hour to reach the top. It was more like a half hour. There are the ruins of a castle on the top and more pre Christian and Midevil ruins about one third of the way down. Looking to the west one see's Cefalu below and to the east, the point where... More

Access to this intriguing place was closed when we were there on a Saturday in April. There were no signs or explanations. Very disappointing... At least the historic fortress gate with the padlock was interesting.

Climbing the rock is about an hours quite strenuous climb, but worth it. Decent footwear is essential as some paths are very rugged. Do take water with you if it is a hot day. Fantastic views at the top overlooking Cefalu.

this has to be one of the top hikes we have taken anywhere, even above the walk from Ravello to Amafi. Great views in all directions-well worth the time and effort.

Wonderful, spectacular views, not for small children, not for people with heart conditions, bring penty of bottled water, wear appropriate shoes and climb either in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid mid day sun.

We climbed part of the way to the top and it was a great view. Not really as strenuous as they make it sound but we were there in November when it was cooler.
