I visited the Santa Teresa di Gallure beach during Easter break (2012) and it was lovely. Quiet, sunny and no tourists at this time of year (!). The water was nice and clear - although slightly cold for swimming (nothing that I can't handle after winter swimming though). I was enjoying my swim so much that I lost my ring... More

A really pretty village. The best thing: it is close to Capo Testa!

Do not miss Capo Testa, the small peninsula at the Northernmost tip of Sardinia!

We stayed in an apartment in Santa Teresa di Gallura for a week in June. We loved the town and everything was within easy walking distance. My 14 year old daughter and friend would walk to the beach every morning and then to the center of town every evening for gelati. I always felt it was safe for her to... More

i totally agree to say that sardinia's beaches are amazing. a little crowded in the summer if you don't have a boat to reach the most unknown (wich is my case) but still worth it. santa teresa is a very nice little town with charming people and nice little restaurants, not the big fiesta but familial and well located. very... I have visited pretty much all beach resorts in the Mediterranean, and I can comfortably say that there are no better beaches than in Sardinia. The big advantage to other islands is that they are all within easy reach by car. The north of Sardinia is the most spectacular area of the island: Santa Teresa di Gallura, Capo Testa and... More

My first encounter with Sardinia was Santa Teresa Di Gallura as I came in on the ferry from Corsica. It was a beautiful port, very unassuming, and not a high rise in sight. After travelling all round Sardinia I came back to Santa Teresa as it was the most relaxed, unpretentious and still naturally charming place I had visited. It... More

having recently visited Sardinia in October, I think this may not be the best time of year to visit this gem of an island. Santa Teresa was almost like a ghost town, not much choice of restaurants to eat in because over half of the places were closed for the winter. however, the beaches are still fabulous at any time,...
