This garden is just heavenly. It's not very expensive and worth every baht you pay. They have flowers and trees from all over the globe, and everything is always kept neat and clean. Bicycle rental is cheap, and very much worth the money! There are many places to rest and sit in the shade as you reflect and enjoy the... More

After we read the reviews in trip advisor my wife and I decided to go. The tour arranger at our hotel said it was nothing much to see but we hired our loyal tuk tuk guy and went anyway. It was great! We rented bikes and rode around the periphery 1st then picked our spots for a more in depth... More

We stay in Chiang Mai often and know that the city centre can get polluted and smoggy as the temperature starts to increase at the end of the cold season. We were recommended Tweechol Gardens by a friend as a good half day trip which is easy to do independently. We picked up the yellow songthiew from the Warorot Market... More

Great place to spend the day. We took the free guided tour by golf buggy first then rented bikes. amazing value and enjoyable way to take in the gardens and animals - deer, buffalo, camels, birds etc. But the main attraction is the topiary and the plants, plus museum and lanna style lfe exhibit. Good restaurant for lunch, and the... More

Chiang Mai is not a city of parks and public places; very little green space. For that reason the Botanic Garden is a welcome addition to the scene. The Garden consists of various "focus sections" connected by a series of foot/bike paths. There is a wonderful orchid garden with a small waterfall and huge koi fish in the pond. You... More

Known as Horizon Village, there is a nice weekend lunch buffet which includes entry to the garden. An interesting museum inside, a mini zoo, and very nice sculptured gardens. Paddle boats available too.

As we're staying in Chiang Mai for an extended time, visits to Tweechol are a regular activity - but we went there 3 times in the first month because its worth it!! A lovely relaxing place of manicured gardens, with plants in the shape of dinosaurs, dolphins, elephants and the like. There is a bike rental, which is very affordable,... More

This botanical garden is one of the best places to visit throughout Thailand. It's very reasonably priced, stunningly beautiful all round and is a great place to learn about nature for all ages. There is a resort attached as well for overnight stays but the main attraction has to be the animals, flowers, plants and best of all, cycles for... More

The gardens cover a total of around 114 Rai or about 50 acres. They contain a number of different plant collections, but one of the highlights without doubt is the topiary, with all manner of animals and other shapes having been created by training the plants into the appropriate shapes. Some old Thai houses have been saved from destruction anfd... More

What a well kept place. We stayed at Horizon Village next door which I think has the same owners. Make sure you hire a bike to do the gardens as they are huge. The topiary are fantastic and very clever. There are a number of animal enclosure around the park and well worth the stop. They all looked fairly well... More
