As we went to Disneyland Paris a couple of years ago, we decided to try somewhere different and we were all please we our choice!!!..... Loads of attractions for all ages, plenty of catering facilities all around the Parc. The only slight problem was the queue at almost each attraction, as much as it was fun and worth it, it... more
As childhood fans of Asterix, my girlfreind and I were looking forward to going to Parc Asterix, and also supporting a home grown attraction that didn't smack so much of a kitsch multinational franchising corporation (i.e. Disneyland). Getting to the park was a breeze, and we took a bus departing from Charles De Gaulle 1, which was very clearly signposted... more
I am always interested to read what other people put on such sites as Trip Advisor. Having used this system for a number of years now, this is the first time I have decided to write something...why? Because I am stunned by what others say. Park Asterix is an amazing place. The rides are excellent and the food overall is... more
I went to Parc Astérix on April 9, 2007 with my husband and two kids aged 7 & 12. This has been an awful and very costly experience. The strong affluence was very predictable: a nice sunny, Easter Sunday. Yet there is no proper infrastructure to welcome guests. We had to wait in line for 1 1/2 hours before getting... more
A lot more compact than DLP, Parc Asterix is perfect for a day out. You can see most of it in a day if you get there early enough. It also has less of a "multinational franchise" feel than DLP and my two actually preffered Parc Asterix. It does enhance the experience if you do a bit of research on... more
We have just had a day and a half in Parc Asterix with our 16, 15 and 7 year olds. Thoroughly enjoyed by all. We have done Paris Disney a few times and although Asterix doesn't have quite the same magic, the rides and many of the shows are excellent. Our thrill junkie children were very happy with the rides,... more
My wife and I took our 9 year old, adrenalin junky son to Paris for a week, but for him the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower were overshadowed by Parc Asterix. We bought an 'all inclusive ticket' from the SNCF in Paris, which got us the RER to Charles de Gaulle, shuttle to the park, entry tickets and return journey... more
I just returned from a 8 day trip to Paris with my 8 year old boy (15-22. April) of which 1 day was spend in Parc Asterix and 2 days in DLP. I chose to go to Parc Asterix first since I had read that DLP made an overall deeper impression, which I wanted to keep for the end. Well,... more
This park is, of course, very French. Some of the main rides are very good, but there is no priority queueing system, and bad signs on queue times. However, the Arcimboldo restaurant is above average for theme-park food (the dishes look like the menu pictures!) Parking is easy, access good, and the park is easy to naviagate. Also, some of... more
