Such a nice quiet village to visit! The streets and buildings were amazing! Not that far from Millau either, after visiting the viaduct. A definate place to go see!

Liked this village even though rather twee and touristy. Not possible to visit without paying the 3 euro car park fee.

I didn't have high expectations for this place because I knew it was "off-season" before I went. La Couvertoirade does not charge admission during the winter. I think there were maybe 4 people in the village at the same time as us.
That said it was a very beautiful place to visit. The empty streets allowed us lots of photo...

Having visited the Millau Viaduct recently we had time to spare to take a trip around the beautiful country side and to make a special visit to one or two of the Knights Templar villages, is a must. Whilst the villages have been maintained, as they were originally built by the Knights Templar they still retain that...

There is no point in travelling in the Midi-Pyrenees unless you stop off in one or two of the Templar villages. It was Friday 13th Oct 1307 when the French King and the pope ordered the mass execution after torture of all the Templar knights across France.
