we could only do the 3 inlets due to bad weather conditions and it was the last boat for the morning due to 2.5 plus metre waves. so it made the journey interesting. 15.00euro each for the 1hour plus journey. a must when your in cassis

We chose the tour for 5 calanques (there are tours for 3 and for 8). The weather was perfect, the sea relatively calm, so we had a lot of fun. The views are amazing. The commentaries were in French and some English. This tour is a must if you are visiting Cassis for the first time.
Beautiful coves, and at times you can even see the seabed! Definitely worthwile. Just make sure to put on sunscreen!
Took the boat ride to see eight calanques in Sept. 2011, cost at the time was 21 euros. It was a pleasant enough trip with very nice scenery. On this particular day, weather was sunny, hot and beautiful. Total trip time was a little over an hour and a half. Commentary from the tourguide was in French.
It worked out...

We are french from Paris and wanted to discover the calanques the best way. We gave a phone call to 3 of the boat rental companies of Cassis and finally chose Locabato. The contact was warm and the prices quite cheap compared to the other. While arriving in Cassis with our two girls we didn't know what to expect. We...

I suggest renting the kayaks to explore the Calanques in a less hasty and decidedly healthier than motorboats!
I also recommend a pause at Calanque d'En Vau for a nice picnic lunch.
The journey takes about 3 hours and if the weather conditions are favorable (almost always in Cassis ..) is suitable for all. I strongly recommend reserving kayaks on...

I took the 8 calanque boat trip from Cassis in early May. This cost me 20 euros and ran for 1h30 minutes. For me, it was well worth it. I had already done the nature hike along the calanque closest to Cassis (Port Miou - I highly recommend the "short recreational route" which you can access from town. Not difficult...

We took a 2.5 hour round trip boat ride from Marseille to see 6 of the Calanques, having read many recommendations.
However, we were sorely disappointed. The Calanques turned out just to be bare white-ish cliffs along the coastline between Marseille and Cassis. There was really very little to see, and every cliff began to look the same very quickly....

We really enjoyed the beautiful views of the Calanques. We chose the longer boat ride and got great pictures of the cliffs along the shore. I thought it was relaxing and worth the price for the spectacular views. I thought it was strange that you could not pre-book tickets, you just show up 30 minutes before the time you want...

We did one of the boat tours of the Calanques in 2007. As others have mentioned, the cost depends on how many calanques you want to see. I'm not sure seeing more is necessarily worth it. The view from the sea is nice.
