One of the oldest churches in the world. A must. Sainte Sarah is the patron of travellers.

Unique architecture, interior design and atmosphere, a church like no other I have seen. Don't miss it! Now when you come out carried away by the mystical beauty of the place clever gypsy ladies will try to get some money out of you. Just don't engage in a conversation or you are sure to loose...a few euros, unpleasant experience, bringing... More

It is a lovely church that dominates the town and has a real sense of history but it is a unique experience to climb on to the roof and view the town below, the arena and the Med Sea! You can see people on it from down below. No lift so you have to be fit enough. It is open... More

You can't miss the church as it dominates the town, both from land and sea. Nothing is allowed to be built which will obscure it from view, so there are no high-rise buildings in the town. It has a beautiful bell-tower and is built of mellow stone. Inside it is dark and unusually of rough stone. In the crypt, are... More

We were there before mass and visited the shrine under the altar which is very mystic and different to other catholic churches throughout Europe - a special experience. From the roof you have a great view and the whole place got a special spirit - one needs to experience himself - practicing catholic or not - it is a special... More
