A nice cathedral to spend an hour touring. There is the tomb of an old German King and also the tomb of a Pope. Nice cathedral, nothing compared to Straßbourg or Notre Dame, but still very nice.

Its not the biggest or the best, but it has the feel of a great church as well as the points of interest of a real monument.

This is a beautiful church both outside as well as inside. Nothing too dramatic, just beautiful. The detail in the sculptures & carvings are really good! Beautiful organ as well

Along with the cathedrals Trier and Speyer, this one is one of the classics of the genre, Both inside and out, the cathedral drips of history and classical art. It is not to be missed.

In scale, overall artistic quality, specific items - the tombs, triptychs, carvings, choir stalls, Bishop's throne, and the famous Bamberg Rider statue, and state of repair, this is a must-see cathedral.

Was undergoing renovation this last visit. Dom is atop one of hills that reminds Bamberg with Rome. Interior has some nice paintings and statues. Pope Clemente buried here one can meditate near his grave

wow what a platz and a must to see. The 1 euro guide lets you in on the many secrets of thsi building. People watch and soak in the ambiance. Day or night will change the mood. It is a bit of a hike to get there, but enjoy the view. Don't drink a beer do it after the visit.... More
