When you are walking Marienplatz you will come to this towards the end. It is beside the Neues Rathaus. The facade is quite dramatic, but it is more new than old.

How cool - a town hall (Rathaus) that sits in the middle of the river. Great to walk through and see the architecture, then go a few blocks down to look at it and take pics from afar. 

If you are in Bamberg, you need to visit/view the Altes Rathaus. The paintings on the walls are just beautiful!

Sitting on an island in the river, this is a natural for the photographer or painter. The building is a nice, successful mixture of architectural styles.
