We drove along Bodensee from Costance to Lindau and Meersburg was well worth the stop. We parked nearby and walked a little through the lovely town, saw the new castle but entered only the old castle which was well maintained. We bought a plan of the castle with a brief explanation in each room for a small fee and it...

The little town of meersburg and it's castle, next to the lake of Constance are kept in a remarkable state of originality. Unfortunately it is, as so many tourist attractions, being spoiled by the sheer number of tourist shops, trying to sell their kitschy products and food that would only be accepted by tourists...
