Very Beautiful lake in a Silent Surrounding. Liked the Location The town closes down very soon, in Summer it is 6.45.. This place is located in a valley. Take a boat in the lake and just enjoy the view.

There are many easy bicycle trails in this area. Bicycle rental in Switzerland was so much more expensive! 25CHF a day. Lake district in uk is £40 a day! While here at ski Hirt, not only we got 3 hours for free with the hochschwarzwald card. A whole day is only €15! We were only 5 feet tall. So we... More

I visited Lake Titisee during low season, so it was far from crowded as I assume it is during summer. Road from Freiburg is OK, but parking near the lake may be somewhat difficult, so plan ahead. Apart from too many souvenir shops all selling the same goods, the place and the atmosphere are nice. It is not a big... More

The lake is small by USA standards, but beautifully situated ( reminded me of Lake Tahoe). The shops were fun, reasonably priced souvenirs and not crowded on a weekday in March. We enjoyed walking through the village, eating on a sunny patio, and a little shopping. The teenager involved mostly liked the eating part! Generally speaking, not a place that... More

It is a long walk from the car park. Plenty of places to eat. Suitable for a half a trip

Our visit was at a time when the lake was frozen very nice but not allowed access due to danger of break up. the week before Lent is carnival time when the fools take over. Local Fools Guild hold parades and markets which are very colouful and also noisey

We visited Titisee in July 2011 with our daughter and husband. The Black Forest area is extremely attractive with many places of interest to visit. On the lake there were beach areas for swimming, as well as go out on boat trips or plenty of walking opportunities. Titisee was busy with tourists during the day but it was very quiet... More

Nice lake to visit, beside beautiful view, there are some restaurants, tourist stores (with famous Kuck-kuck clocks) and we also can rent a boat in spring until autumn. All the prices in this area are not expensive. Also the stores are open in Sunday ! Don't forget to make a foto with traditional black forest costume.

I went with a family with teens. They loved the village where they enjoyed looking at the cuckoo clocks and other extraordinary creations. If you go, be sure to get a beer and enjoy the humongous smoked turkey leg. The prices were reasonable but not cheap. We rented one of the boats that we drove ourselves and had a fantastic... More

Many tourists and the walk around the lake mostly along a road. Much nicer the nearby Schluchsee!
