It's best to take the 'train' to get to the top. On a clear day you can see for miles. Below the great old River with excursion ships and big barges going up and down. Walking down the hill you come past a private residence. It's actually a castle and open to the public.

nice trip up on train but disappointing at top...no restaurant as yet and building work being done. View is nice

My husband an I caught a morning train from Cologne and headed for Konigswinter. It took about 35 mins. We traveled to Germany with my 89 year old father-in-law. He wanted to see his grandparent’s graves in Cologne. Heading south from Cologne we saw signs for Konigswinter.
