This receding glacier is proof of global warming. By posting signs along the easy accesable walking trail, it becomes evident how quickly the effects of global warming are impacting this impressive ice giant. The walk is not difficult, however some experience is required. I have visited the glacier in summer, fall and winter and I wouldn't be able to choose.

Area lends itself to walking and cross country skiing. Was lovely to walk from the hotel to the glacier and back.
