we all loved our trip to the national army museum, it was really interesting and informative, its dummies are so life like! great detail! the kids had heaps of fun dressing up in the kids room and trying things out. its worth the trip :)

If you have an interest in military history, this is a good museum to learn about NZ army history, beginning with the Maori conflicts in the early-mid 1800s and ending with current Afghanistan. The cost for me as an adult was $15NZ.

having been to military museums in England the whole experience was enjoyable, the history was well presented and told the whole story from start to finish, covering areas I was unaware of as a visitor to New Zealand, if I get back to New Zealand will visit again, in case I missed something.

Such a humbling experience, seeing history and understanding more of NZ's part in the war. Too think my mate and I were going to flag the visit. If there was one thing I recommend is touring the facility and understanding the reasons for the wars and acknowledging those who have fallen in order to give us freedom. *LEST WE FORGET*
