This race course attracts the locals when the meetings are on. It's small and unfussy. If your in locality and fancy a flutter, i'd say go. It's cosines is it's charm. Gowran is an area with stables and stud farms of famous trainers, you never who you might meet !

Lovely (and lively) course. Very picturesque. Easy to get to, traffic usually well managed. Less pretentious than many courses.

As an avid racegoer I have been to Gowran Park several times and it is one of my favourite Irish Racecourses. We love to have groups staying over in Kilkenny or Carlow so that they can use the FREE shuttle bus to the races.

I went to Gowran Park Racecourse last Sunday with my family. There was a very relaxed atmosphere and the children enjoyed the bouncy castles and the face painting. There was also a good menu with decent food at a reasonable price. Overall I found everyone very friendly and helpful and we will be back again.
