First of all, it's a little tricky to find this beach. It is just north of Kapalua, and you have to look to your left for the sign, which is heading downhill to the parking area. This beach is a bit of a drive (depending where you're staying), but it's definitely worth a visit. Fleming is a great beach for swimming. This was our favorite beach spot. Nice sanding beach with beautiful views. The water was great, snorkeling was great and there are plenty of amenities. A wonderful place to spend the day. more
We visited D. T. Fleming Beach twice during our stay in Maui. It's a great place for boogie boarding, with very decent waves. We saw a few surfers as well. We went on a weekday and on a weekend. We just returned from our Maui vacation. We had heard good things about DT Fleming beach, so decided to check it out. WE arrived around 10 am, and pretty much had the place to ourselves.
