A beautiful Jacobean mansion with surprisingly few alterations, surrounded by lovingly maintained gardens. Very well presented NT property with fascinating interior and lovely gardens. But does get very busy at weekends.

This is a National Trust property and we took a guided tour which was both informative and entertaining. The gardens are well cared for and very pleasant to walk around

Stunning grounds and house,brought back memoris of my school days with the name Throckmorton, thought I had forgotten all those history lessons. This house is truley steeped in English history with its connection with the gunpowder plot. Well worth the visit, especially if you are members of the National Trust with free entrance.

Gorgeous historic house and churches, still lived in part of it by a member of the Throckmorton family. Really interesting history to it.
