This National Trust site, consists of the House, the Gardens and the Tower. The House itself is not so impressive outside (scaffolding in place, same as everywhere in/around Salisbury it seems), but very impressive inside. We arrived late in the day, so we had to choose: house, or gardens? We chose gardens, and have no regrets. I imagine it would be even more scenic when the flowers are blooming and the trees have leaves. The only downside was the gardeners were burning a brush pile, you can see smoke in some of our pictures. more
