A beautiful little village in a great setting well worth a visit without the plague connection. However, a walk around the village (recommend calling at the museum first for background and context) is very poignant. Being so close to the homes and seeing the names of the plague victims, whole families wiped out, is very moving and really brings history... More

Really enjoyed this, cheap to get in and plenty to see. Set in a quaint little village. We took a picnic and enjoyed the day.

a quaint museum with knowledgeable information about this historical village and it's past.

This is a must to visit. They have maintained the atmosphere and of the entire village which can clearly be felt and I love how the houses have plaques outside the houses describing what happened to the families within.

If you have time to spend you can learn about the plague and how it came to Eyam.The register in the church makes very interesting reading.On the last Sunday in August they "clip" the church to commemorate the end of the plague
