The walk was beautiful on a lovely summers day. Flowers and wildlife everywhere. Worth a passing walk.

I always drive up through Winnat's Pass from Castleton. It is a steep limestone gorge with sheep and walkers wandering everywhere.
excellant views and great for walkers. Close to Castleton and caves
Very very steep. Not something you could do with young children. Definitely one for fit and sporty people and for when it's dry!
A place I visit regularly, its not necesary to actually stop your car to enjoy this place because it is so astounding as you drive through, but walking up the hills (which is hard work) is well worth the effort for the views - and the surrounding countryside is quite wonderful.
I have been coming here for 40 years everytime I visit Castleton. Speedwell Cavern can be found here also.
We drove up to take a look rather than walking. The view is stunning. I have to say, driving it at night was a bit creepy!
I live near here and never ever take it for granted but it is best in the weeek because it is much quieter.
Nice scenery for a drive through with my mum. Also great as part of a walk.
It is a very steep climb on a path that is not marked by a sign, but it is well worth it. We climbed from the bottom through to the top of the pass. Once you are past the farm there is a pedestrian footpath that runs through some sheep fields toward Mam Tor. An amazing walk!
