Talking about and tasting wine is what we love to do most of all. so whether you are a wine connoisseur or just getting to grips with the basics, you can be assured of our down to earth, expert advice.To compliment the exceptional selection of wines we've added a great wine bar and lounge. These comfortable facilities enhance the wine buying experience and are available to hire for private functions and corporate events. The lounge and bar are open throughout the day Tuesday to Saturday, serving a selection of wines, beers and coffee. Evenings see the place transformed into a social hub enjoyed by all ages with one thing in common; an appreciation of something a little different. Various live events are held each month, so there's always and opportunity to enjoy a showcase of the best musicians, comedy and new talent from around the region and beyond. We enjoy building long and fruitful relationships with small producers and work closely with them to enhance our knowledge and continue to search out exciting wines from around the world.The focus is definitely on the wine and tasting is believing. At last we managed to get to one of their Music Nights to see The Dunwells. This band are playing every night this week and I understand it is a sellout - hardly surprising, they are FANTASTIC! Great atmosphere, excellent music and an all round good night. Five lads from Leeds who I am sure will make the big time.

We have paid numerous visits to Great Northern Wine and have taken friends along. My friend says they serve the best G & T ever. Wines are very reasonable with a large selection on offer. The building itself is lovely and there is parking either outside or in a nearby car park. We haven't been to any of the Comedy... More
