We have a little bit of difficulty finding this place. However, the extra bit of effort was well worth it. the ancient stone work is remarkable. He gravestones extraordinary. It is in a lovely setting and highly recommended.

We understand that this little stone structure is where monks would go to pray. Given the age of the building, it is in remarkably good shape. Interesting little side trip.

This is a must see if you do the Slea Head drive. Go to the free entrance 100 yards up the road from the first enterance.

we loved gallarus the history, the stone work it is magical well worth the visit go to the FREE entrance

This church that dates back to around 11,000 BC is incredible well preserved and on lovely grounds. There is a bit of a walk, but it is a lovely stroll.
