The Jameson experience was one of the best tours we did in Ireland. We must have been in an off season because our group was relatively small. The tour was extremely informative, not boring at all. We walked around the whole brewery and really enjoyed it. There were plenty of photo opportunities. Towards the end, they ask for a 8 taste... More

It was actually hard to sit through the whole tour. The only interesting things in it were the old photos, which we were rushed past by the tour guides who i am sure are required to hustle in order to fulfill their quota. The tasting was pathetic as well, since the Jameson was compared with the cheapest of American whiskeys... More

We really liked this tour much better than the Guinness tour in Dublin. It is really a tour with a guide to explain the process and history. The Cork facilities are very attractive and fairly well restored. Plan on about at least an hour. A little more if you spend some time in the tasting room. Everyone receives one serving... More

We flew into Dublin, and drove to Midleton for The Jameson Experience. We had gone to the Jameson Distillery in Dublin a year earlier, and wanted to go to Midleton as we love the Midleton Very Rare. The distillery was a great tour, and I got to be a part of the tasting at the end, which was a lot... More

I had no idea what went into whiskey. Now I understand the processes and the differences. It was fun and educational. The old brewery has been restored and you get to see how whiskey was made then and now. I didn't understand why I had to pay to have someone promote their product to me. After seeing all that went... We really enjoyed our tour of the Jameson Distillery. The guide was very well informed and was able to explain the differences between the fermentation process of Irish, Scottish and American whiskey. The walk around the distillery was fascinating and the tour guide stopped at all the appropriate places and explained the fermentation process from start to finish. My particular... More

We visited The Jameson Experience in Midleton during our March 2012 visit to Ireland. I was expecting a fairly typical "the is how we make alcohol tour" but the tour was actually fascinating, and probably one of the best brewery/winery/distillery tours I've ever been on. What made it so good? Walking around the old distillery and having a knowledgeable guide... More
