For my birthday, decided to do something different this year...and drag a few girl friends along.....I study art part time so felt that something creative was just the thing....and got those with non creative bones in their bodies out doing something very different!..The day was a great success - especially loved working with the pottery wheel - many laughs ensued... Myself and my wife visited the gallery at Kinsale Pottery and Arts School recently. It was obvious that Adrian, the resident potter, has a real passion for his craft and this is reflected in the quality and range of pieces on show. We were particularly impressed with some of the small intricate pieces which displayed a high degree of skill... More

I booked an afternoon pottery course here for myelf and himself so we could try something new together, and since we can never agree on which strenuous outdoor activites to persue I thought an afternoon of playing with clay couldn't go too far wrong! I didn't know quite what to expect as I had very limited experience with clay and... More

Hi Adrian, Just a quick note of sincere acknowledgement - to say how much I savoured, and gained from, the one-day pottery course. The experience was not only educational in a crafts and artistic sense, but was most therapeutic to boot. You are a very competent facilitator. I am hoping to perhaps do a couple of drop in half day... More

We did a one day intro to pottery workshop and I would highly recommend it. You get to create 3 pieces, and despite not having done anything creative in 20 yrs you get into the swing of it. Also you get an hour and a half for lunch, which means you can pop down town to Kinsale for a leisurely... More

Attended a weekend jewellery making class and had a great time. The class, the tutor and everyone at Kinsale Ceramics made us feel very welcome. Have put what I learned to good use. Guess what all my friends and family will be getting for Christmas 2011. Kinsale was also a lovely place to visit in mid November and we were... More

i'd recommend kinsale art and pottery centre to anyone interested in crafts. I did a week summer school from 10-5pm mon-fri in ceramics and pottery and had no idea what was involved. Had a great week though and made some great new friends. You can try and make anything your imagination allows so I would advise people to be as... More

On our second trip to Ireland we found this wonderful shop that carries the very unique ceramic pieces of an artist we had met on our earlier trip. It also has other ceramics and many lovely arts items...small shop but full of beautiful treasures. Shopkeeper was a lovely person, also. Don't miss it if you visit the charming town of... More
