We were passing thru and stopped at this pub to have a drink of beer and some good Irish food. What an absolutely fabulous find this place is. The food is outstanding and the staff/owners were the friendliest in all of Ireland. If we ever come back to Ireland, we would make a special trip to be able to enjoy... More

The White House is situated right in the centre of Kinsale. It has a lovely bar and excellent restaurant. You can also stay there. I haven't seen the rooms, but if the rest of the place is anything to go by, they should be very comfortable indeed. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. Just... We were a little skeptical when we ordered, but we both had Cajun cod and found it was really tasty.

The venue is well appointed and has a feeling of care and attention to details however the food in our experience was awful One meal was served burnt and returned The other three was universally agreed upon as tasteless and bland - it comes to something when the garnish was the most satisfactory. Very disappointed given the reputation of Kinsale... More

My family (3 adult children, my husband & myself) stayed in Kinsale for a night this past summer. Our main focus was the pub, not the food. We had the best time! Great enteratinment by Michael Riordan, who played to a packed house. This was my thrid visit to Kinsale and the pub. I agree that Kinsale is slipping in... More

We stepped into the White House last week to catch the USA v Brazil football game. We got a lot more than that - friendly staff, friendly patrons, wonderful music, Irish dancing, and an overall fabulous evening. Exactly what we were looking for out of an evening at an Irish pub.

I ate at the White House Pub in July. The food was good. We had seafood, it was not the best I had in Kinsale, but it was good. But what was terrific about the White House was the Music and the people. The people who worked there and the local people who were patrons. We went back around 8pm... More

All the guide books say Kinsale is the "gourmet center of Ireland". Unfortunately I didn't get to sample that. My one night in Kinsale was marred by a terrible meal at The White House. My seafood plate (I don't remember the name of the dish) looked and tasted like it was comprised of left-overs from other dishes, right down to... More
