This is a real couse; used by locals ...and without rip off fees. It's well worth adding if you have the time on a golf trip.
My hotel booked me in for a round of 18. It does not feel like annnd course because the Shannon estaury is in full sight throughout the game. A few difficult holes but overall, very impressive and excellent value.
This is a quiet, value for money course - and an excellent way to spend some time at the end of a journey if catching a plane from Shannon Airport. It borders Shannon Estuary, so it has a shoreline feel - albeit along a river. It's ranked in Irealnd's top 35 parkland courses in hooked: http://www.shannongolfclub.ie/ http://golfcoursesireland.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
