Ireland was the last stop of our european tour. Ireland is my fav place in the world!!!! The Kerry bog village museum has so much going on for just one stop! 18th century village to explore, 2 massive gift stores, kerry bog ponies, Irish wolf hounds. I took about 200 pictures at this place lol. There was also live music...

The Kerry Bog Village is a very special place. We drove the ring of kerry and did not go by bus. We were delighted we did, as this gave us much more time at each attraction. The Bog village is steeped in History. The famine era devestated Ireland and this museum gives a glance into that time period. The mood...

This was a 35 minute stop on a Ring of Kerry Bus Tour. We had our choice of visiting the Kerry Bog Village (5 Euros), visiting a souvenir shop, or purchasing Irish Coffee at the attached Red Fox Inn. It took about 15 minutes to tour the village and was certainly not worth the 5 Euro admission price. There is...

The Kerry Bog Village is one of those places where you appreciate the effort and understand why they charge for admission but after visiting wonder why you spent the money. We sent though the whole village in about 15 minutes and the even though you know there was time and effort spent to setup the village it is sad that...

I have always been interested in Irish History, particularly the famine era. The village has perfectly preserved a moment in time. You are guided through with a leaflet that explains each part of the village. My family also enjoyed it very much. It is the first stop on the ring of kerry and is one of the most famous places...

We came for Sunday lunch and our experience left a 'bad taste' to say the least. The staff appeared grubby and not at all interested in being there. The meals are grossly overpriced and when our orders arrived the food was very very poor value for money. The roast of the day was beef - I ordered a half portion...

I recently visited the bar of this attraction and after a moments deliberation by the barman I was charged the extortionate price of €8.95 for a pint of draught guinness and a large bottle of lemonade for my kids to share. I am sure the price was plucked from thin air as I wasnt even offered a receipt.
The price...

It's a tourist trap...just keep driving! Wish we hadn't stopped! Except that we got a good laugh.
Very overpriced.
All exhibits were dirty with 21st. century litter.
Exhibits were arranged without any explanation except for what was displayed in the handout...... which was short on detail. Furniture and implements seemed as if they were just dumped in the spaces and visitors had to make up their own minds as to how they were used in the past....
