6 miles of golden sands, no quick-sands, no nasties in the water, solitude, silence and beauty. Where else in the world would you find such a treasure?

We got great weather, the house we rented looked straight out onto the beach, the bars were full of local character's who are only happy to pass on there local knowledge. Ashes bar, tower hotel. For the kids there is horse trecking on the beach 30 euro lasts about 70 mins, a short drive to inch strand to do surfing... More

After staying in Rossbeigh for Xmas 2010 during the snow, what a surprise Rossbeigh beach turned out to be!!! We returned to Ireland in July 2011 and as we were staying near decided to revisit Rossbeigh Beach. Miles of sand, good clean water (although full of jellyfish) and plenty to explore on the rocks! The kids loved this beach!!! We... More

A wonderful place for a long stroll with stunning scenery on a clear day. A 5km stretch of soft sand, recommended for surfing but sadly no waves on the day we visited. There is plenty of parking beside the beach and a small pub at the entrance to the car park,. Glenbeigh town is a short drive away offering more... More

Words can't describe how stunning this location is -- miles of nearly empty beach, rolling grassy dunes, green hills framing the bay. Fabulous views of the sunset, too. Our children (9 and 12) loved the playground (just need to watch out for smaller kids, especially when it's busy). Also has soccer goals, tennis and basketball courts; beach itself is great... More

Visited Rossbeigh - decided to try some horse riding when we saw Burke's Trekking Centre - had a wonderful experience. Lovely quiet horses - magical walking & trotting on water's edge on beach - kids really enjoyed it too. Definately hope to repeat the experience during the summer.

We stopped here on our Ring of Kerry drive. It was a nice break for food and we saw surfers riding the waves in Ireland. They have park benches or you can bring a blanket and sit on the beach and soak in the sun rays.
