Don't tell everyone; this is a very special, quiet place; with stunning views

This is such a beautiful place. The scenery is magnificent, the variety of walks is excellent and if the weather is good you can see for miles. Just one example of what a beautiful country we live in.

We went out to the Sheepshead Peninsula on a whim. It was an interesting drive out to the end of the peninsula, with the usual twisting, turning, narrow roads. Truly worth driving up. We had a lovely piece of Apple Pie at the top; sat outside and talked to Odie (the resident sea gull!). He loves being hand fed!

fantastic views the scenery is breathe taking, its a great way to see west cork. their are a lot of different walks around the sheeps head which are suitable for every fitness level.

If you're driving, you'll be speechless at the breath-taking scenery. A must see - bring a picnic, find some shelter (from the sun:) )and be amazed.
